It highlights the substantial improvements in global literacy through educational reforms and international efforts, while also addressing ongoing disparities in access to education, particularly in underserved regions like sub-Saharan Africa. The article emphasises the importance of literacy in fostering equality, economic development, and empowerment, and calls for continued focus on addressing global literacy challenges.
